Maths- we are currently working on counting on and back and finding missing numbers. We are practising recording our work with the correct number formation and also using the symbols + - and =

we have covered a wide range of areas within Maths including time, shape and fractions.

Bang on time is a great game for practising telling the time.

warning - it can be very loud!

Our focus has been on calculation skills adding and subtracting within 10 and 20 for Yr1 and within 100 in  Yr2.

The children really enjoyed this challenge where they needed to make 4 number sentences using a set of numbers.

top marks is an excellent site and is well worth exploring

we have been practising our 2 and 10 times tables and are testing the children regularly. It would be useful to practise these with your children and test them in a random order to check their knowledge rather than the ability to "chant" the table.

These links are for some fun ways to practise their tables
